DraftKings is looking for an innovative self-starter to join its growing media team.  As a Senior Producer/Ticker, you will support the scaling video portfolio and manage the live linear ticker / bottom-line operation. The Producer will oversee, translate and implement real-time data and DraftKings API data feeds related to sports betting, daily fantasy, NFT’s, sports news and more. You will use exceptional editorial judgment, real-time decision-making skills, and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment. The Producer will use knowledge of the sports betting industry to develop and implement ticker workflows across DraftKings multi-platform programming. Sound good to you? Join us. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO AS A SENIOR PRODUCER/TICKER:

  • Serve as head producer and editorial strategizer for on-screen ticker data and graphic display. Drive ticker production, sales integrations and data needs in line with DraftKings content strategy. 

  • Develop and implement ticker operation workflows and best practices to display real-time data accurately and timely.  

  • Serve as point of contact internally to aggregate API data and externally on ticker operation. 

  • Utilize the  Ross Tick-It software to grow the on-air ticker presentation. 

  • Launch DraftKings ticker operations, and train employees on the Tick-It  software 

  • Partner with the Editorial team to educate and teach best practices for data deployment and integration.  

  • Collaborate to identify, direct, and maintain consistency in data and statistics for DraftKings customers.  

  • Steer overall ticker strategy, contributing to its growth and evolution over time.   

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:   

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in sports, statistics, journalism, research or related fields. Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field required.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with data, preferably sports, including API integration and aggregation. 

  • Experience with Ross Tick-It and Xpression softwares required.

  • Experience working in a graphics or live ticker environment. 

  • Vast knowledge of relevant content around news, sports betting, and daily fantasy. 

  • Clear understanding of DraftKings content guidelines and regulations. 

  • Strong scheduling skills with external vendor programs. Familiarity with creating content calendars with sports information, promotions, sales, and events.

  • Solutions-oriented mindset with an exceptional attention to detail

  • Knowledge of sports research methods, as well as how to locate and source relevant editorial web resources. 

  • Schedule flexibility; ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
